Nokia X6 review

The design of Nokia X6 is made of plastic, which is disappointing for high-end phone with high price. Under the big screen, there are three buttons, call, menus, and end. The bezel is hosting the video call camera at the top with some sensors.

The Nokia x6 is a high-end Nokia Xpress Music Edition. While other phones mid range music performs well, high-end smart phone with features excellent music is welcomed by many users. The dimensions of the Nokia X6 are 111 x 51 x 13.8 mm and weight 122 g. The 1320 mAh Li-ion battery provides a standby time of 401 hours for 2 G and 420 hours for 3 G, conversation of 8 hours and 30 minutes to 2 G and 6 hours for 3 G and music playback time of 35 hours.

The Nokia Music Player x6 is loaded with features, but looks aren’t too flashy. There are five preset equalizer and is always can customize them according to your preference. You can reach the music player via a dedicated button immediately above the screen, and run the player in the background. The DJ playlists is a noteworthy feature that scans through your music library to create a playlist depending on the mood that you have set. The music store is also a main part of the Nokia X6 and the video player performs well except for the lack of DivX or XviD. In addition, the FM radio with RDS enriches the function of entertainment.

The centerpiece of Nokia x6 is its 3.2 inch HVGA capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels and 16 million colours can display. The touch screen is extremely sensitive and even surpasses resistive touch some screens. Just a touch sensitive is all you need to enable quick menu. However, the downside is that the screen has poor readability under the Sun.

There is a 5MP camera with Carl Zeiss Optics and dual flash LEDS on the back of Nokia X 6. However, there are some common characteristics such as face detection, even if you smile detection in Nokia x 6 is a high-end phone. In addition, there is no lens cover to protect the camera.

The user interface of Symbian S60 5th Edition is very basic, except for the addition of the touch screen. Kinetic scrolling can be used within the browser interface for web browser. The menus are centered on the icons and there are scroll bars for the menu icon. A full QWERTY keyboard will appear on the screen, when you set the Nokia X6 horizontal mode. Unfortunately, there is no automatic ratotion of home screens when you change the orientation of the phone. The absence of widget on the home screen means that you might just put the Task Manager to switch between tasks button.

The Nokia X6 is a phonebook complete and you can use the kinetic scrolling here too. Personal videos and ringtones can be assigned for contacts. Telephony is good in terms of voice quality, but there is no intelligent composition functionality even when the voice dialing is present.

this phone also supports all types of messages like SMS, MMS and email. They share a common Editor. There is also a alphanumeric touch screen keyboard can be used to typing over the QWERTY keyboard. The connectivity options are too broad with the 3 G network support. The Web browser is useful, but it might be easier to use. Thanks to the GPS receiver with perpetual license City Explorer and maps of Ovi, Nokia X6 shipping during the trip :)
